    no, you shouldn't use other characters.

    With this segment, you can order day (dd) and month (mm) differently, for example for countries where months are shown before days.
    But this is a technical value that will be replaced with actual dates, so it's important to use dd, mm and yyyy.

    Hopefully this clarifies things.
