    Temperament is probably best translated with German beeks technical term "Gutmütigkeit", which is conceptually opposite, translates with "good nature". But you didn't fix the direction of the 1-5 scale, right?

    "Temperament" is a neutral term. I think it would originally have meant sanguine, choleric, melancholic, phlegmatic etc but I don't think that would apply well to bees!
