BC Day Contest winner supplies are now available!
The winner of the BookCrossing day design competition in 2023 is Azuki! She drew a handsome portrait of BallyCumber, standing by a colorful road sign, puzzling about where to go next.
The design is now available in<insert name of language>
as a Bookplate and round sticker in the BookCrossing Supply Store.
Here is a handy link to view/order them:
They are also available in English.
So order them while you can, March 20th, 2023 is the latest.
As an incentive to order sooner rather than later, and also to celebrate the return of the BookCrossing Day contest after a 2-year hiatus, we will pack a free gift with every order of BC Day supplies that reaches us before or on March 5th!
Enjoy! -

Hello
I have now removed all of your personal information and closed your account, however I have left the books’ BCIDs that you had on your BC Bookshelf, intact and travelling. That way if someone finds them, they are still in our system for them to be able to leave a journal entry against the BCID.
Should you ever wish to return to BookCrossing – we do hope that you will miss us enough to come back some day! – you will need to create a new profile, as your old one has been deleted and is not retrievable.
We are sorry to see you go, however we hope that we have fulfilled your request appropriately. -
Our members in the Bulgarian Forum enjoy welcoming new members also.
You may wish to post there to see if you can connect / get help from current members. -
A new OBCZ! That's great news!
For starters, “official” is really a bit of a misnomer -- what makes it "official" is that the location owner has agreed to allow BookCrossing to have a presence there on a regular/permanent basis. It's a bookshelf, or -box or -basket, that is being maintained and stocked by a member of BookCrossing.
We're happy to give the zone free BookCrossing membership (known as Wings) and have it officially listed on the site, and here is what we need you to do to make that possible:
We ask that "OBCZ" features in the username of your OBCZ Bookshelf name.
Please bear the following limitations in mind:
- 15 letter character limit
- English characters and Arabic numerals 0-9, characters - . _ only.
Please reply to this message with the following information:
1. Your OBCZ Name
2. Link to the Go Hunting page for this shelf.
You can get this by finding a book wild released at this zone and then clicking on the release location. This will bring up a list of all books released at this zone that are still in the wild.
Copy the url and paste it in your message.
3. OBCZ profile/bookshelf link (if there is one), with an extended profile that tells zone location/address, hours, info, go-hunting link, and manager(s) OR that the zone is no longer active as an OBCZ.
4. Primary OBCZ Manager: This can be the OBCZ shelf screen name or an individual BookCrosser, but only one name will be accepted.
5. If there is more than one listing/go-hunting link that should all be consolidated, you can send those along, too.
In turn, we will then be able to identify active OBCZs and list them on the Go Hunting pages. We will also grant editing rights to the OBCZ manager name, provided so that one person can add all the fun stuff, like a picture, hours, location, wi-fi details, etc. Adding the address ensures that when our mapping system comes back on line, the OBCZ can be located on a map. If the zone becomes inactive, this person can then also edit the zone information so that it no longer shows as an OBCZ.
That's all, really. For more information and tips, see the OBCZ managers forum:
http://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/27
... this page, as mentioned above: http://www.bookcrossing.com/zones/promote
... and you may also find some good information in this article: http://www.bookcrossing.com/articles/1770
Thank you for accommodating BookCrossing in finding another place for it to be active!
If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reply to this message to ask us. -
Hello
I'm sorry to hear that you want to leave BookCrossing.
This step is not reversible so we do ask for re-confirmation, just to be sure.
Think of this message as the one you get as a pop up when you delete your account on other platforms, asking "Are you sure?"
If you still want to cancel your account I can do that, but please be aware that it will separate you from the books on your shelf, so you won't be notified of their future travels.
If you simply want to cut down on BookCrossing email, you can disable the newsletter, Private Message and journal entry alert options in your profile by going to Edit Profile on your bookshelf and disabling the desired mailings. It will take one more step to disable your release alerts, but that is done by finding the "Manage Release Alerts" link under the "Home" Tab and then selecting to unsubscribe from any release-alert subscriptions you may have.
Here is a handy link to the Edit Profile page: https://www.bookcrossing.com/editprofile/
I hope you'll leave your account in place, even if you don't plan to do any more BookCrossing in the immediate future; there's no cost for basic membership, no requirement for minimum participation, and we never give out your private information. -
Hello,
We're sorry to hear you have not found BookCrossing to your liking. Your account has been closed, and your personal data has been removed from our systems, as per your request.
If you'd like to try BookCrossing again someday, you'd be welcome to rejoin; membership is free, there's no minimum-participation requirement, and your personal information is kept private.
Goodbye, and good reading to you. -
April 21st is BookCrossing Day!

You're currently not logged in to BookCrossing.com. If you continue now your Journal Entry will be shown under the name of "Anonymous Finder". If you want to later track your book (and optionally receive an email when someone else makes a Journal Entry for this book) you need to log in first. If you don't have a BookCrossing account yet, you can sign up right away. It's a matter of seconds and you can write your Journal Entry immediately afterwards.
What do you want to do? -
Hello,
Thank you for letting us know that the password reset process isn't working for you.
We are aware some members are experiencing issues with it, and our Tech Team are aware and investigating.
As a work around, I have manually changed your password to:<
>>>>><<<<
add a password here and never use the same one>
Please use your email address and the password given above to log in.
Once you've successfully logged in, head to the profile managing page and change the password to your own.
Here is a handy link: https://www.bookcrossing.com/editprofile/
Scroll down until you see the "Basic Info" section, you will see the password field (which should appear blank) which is where you type in a new password.
Then be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom and click "Save" so the system knows to save your selected password.
We cannot stress enough that you ought to always use a unique password, one that is not used elsewhere on another website. Include a mix of symbols, numbers and both upper and lower case letters.
Once you have reset your password, if you have problems logging on again, try clearing your cache and then trying again.
Please let us know if you require any further assistance by replying to this message, but for now, I will close this ticket.
