    Is tis string actually being used now that the radio button for immediate or scheduled release is gone?

    [you could have flagged your post as "a question" ... ;-) ]

    yes it is. you can schedule your release by default and thus you could chose a very past date. However, it's sort of a legacy restriction and we might want to adjust the time threshold. Five years is a bit much, five days would be to short (considering holidays' releases).

    Okay, Ardik, then maybe we should edit out the bit about 'or specify an immediate release' since we can't actually do that anymore.
