I see that Waithamai also falsely translated the zero form which was correct before her change.

It is not possible to correctly translate this part into German as one notification setting is used for all types of notification. What I did here is making it consistent at least. The translated notification text is correct for all likes notifications now. It is incorrect for comments notifications though. And there's no way of fixing that if we keep the original and established terms ("gefällt mir", "kommentieren").

Ok, thank you a lot. I did not note that. Yes, it sounds fine to use the same sentence pattern for different notification types for now, even if the linguistic style resulting text is not 100% perfect. At least the issue with the superfluous comma should be addressed in the coding, but this is not as important. There could be a helper class for formatting lists, as the delimiters and their usage may vary among different locales. For example in English, you use a comma before the last element, but not in German; and in Chinese, the ideographic comma (、) is used instead of comma and space like in most locales with Latin script.

The German translation of notifications.index.and_others uses the wrong case (dative instead of nominative).

    It must say

    und ein anderer
    und {%count} andere

    instead of

    und einem anderen
    und {%count} anderen

There is also a superfluous comma. As defined in Unicode CLDR the locale DE does not have a comma before the last list item. See also http://www.unicode.org/cldr/charts/32/summary/de.html#6780 for more details.
