i can't understand this part "We’re supporting more media sources all the time. " would you please explain it?

  2. Kasparov1 Polish Translator with all proofreading rights

I'm guessing is that this is refrerring to continuous development of diaspora*, so that if one service doesn't work, the user shouldn't assume that it will never work.

  3. goob Manager

It means that over time Diaspora will support the embedding of audio or video content from more websites. I hope that makes sense!

History

  1. You can usually just paste the URL (e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnnnnnnnnnn ) into your post and the video or audio will be embedded automatically. Some of the sites that are supported are: YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, Flickr and a few more. diaspora* uses oEmbed for this feature. We're supporting new sites all the time. Remember to always post simple, full links: no shortened links; no operators after the base URL; and give it a little time before you refresh the page after posting for seeing the preview.
