Please let me know where this term appears in the software.

  2. Lubos Hasko Manager

This would be a date when invoice/quote etc. has been issued to customer.

For an invoice the proper translation in Dutch is:
    "Factuurdatum"
For a quote the proper translation in Dutch is:
    "Offertedatum".

Als je er factuurdatum van maakt wijzigt het ook op de offerte in factuurdatum dus lijkt me de juiste oplossing uitgiftedatum, toch?

    Hi Paul,
I will continue the discussion in English so that Lubos can understand what we discuss.
In the English language, issue date is a word which can be used under several circumstances/conditions. It is a generic word or term.
In our language, and in the German language that is not the case.
Issue-date in Dutch has one specific meaning while in English it has a generic meaning.
Therefor I suggest Lubos to change the software in a way that he creates in every module specific issue dates like:
    quote-issue-date; order-issue date; invoice-issue-date.
When Lubos adapts my suggestion, it is then possible to translate it properly in the Dutch and German language.
I have seen thousands and thousand of invoices in my life, but never with the description or translation "uitgifte-datum". the proper word in Dutch is "factuurdatum". So I suggest not to change the translation and let's wait on Lubos his reaction.
I can't imagine it is a hell of a job for him make these minor change in the software.

Check the latest version. I didn't realize there was a string called "InvoiceDate" which has been already translated too. So Manager is now using that string on invoices rather than the original "IssueDate" string which you had issues with.

    Hi Lubos,
    Thanks for your update.
I just installed the latest version and I checked all modules upon the use of Issue-date.
    I found it at:
    Sales-quote
    Sales-order
    Credit-note
    Purchase-order
    Debit-notes

I think that both in German and Dutch "Documentdatum" is the best generic translation now that for invoices you changed the text-string from issue-date into invoice-date.
I'll change the Dutch translation for issue-date.

    Kind regards,

    Hennie
