Apparently this is the name of a hashtag that people click to find posts by new users. As in: "Follow #NewHere and welcome new users in diaspora*".

So, should this actually be translated at all?

If it is translated, the translation must not have any spaces because a hashtag cannot have spaces.

That's up to your community but if you keep it untranslated new users might be confused whether to write in their native language or in English to it. It's definitely a consideration though if your community doesn't watch the (translated version of the) tag.
