This causes a literal translation of the Valley Girl entry on diaspora*:

"follow %{link} n like ... welcome new ppl 2 diaspora*!"

I don't follow where the issue is. %{link} will be replaced by the contents of the shared.publisher.new_user_prefill.newhere segement, prepended by a # and link to the corresponding tag page.
