    Does "(selected)" refers to a selection or a selected item?

    It means last selected "item". This is shown when choosing a student for talk. Example when assigning a student for number 2, we have "ALL" column that shows last date of number 2 and 3, but "LAST (SELECTED) column show only last of number 2.
