    This is the worst piece of text I have seen in a long time. The meaning gets lost *long before * translation.

    When I translate I try to picture what is going on, but that is not possible here.

    'Classifications are reevaluated as well, and if the list is grouped by a (sic!) criteria that depends on filtered details .... '
    HuH? So I can choose to not group the list by a criterion that depends on filtered details? Criteria by definition don't 'depend' to start with.

If the filter buttons are applied to the details, the number of items in the list remains the same, but the corresponding details are affected, e.g. when the three latest assignments are displayed as a brief <a href="user_interface.html#lookup_control_details_history">history</a>, only those three assignments are picked from the complete historical record, that match the filter criteria. <a href="user_interface.html#lookup_control_details_classification">Classifications</a> are reevaluated as well, and if the list is grouped by a criteria that depends on filtered details, such as the date of the latest assignment, the list is rearranged accordingly.
