Kiel mi povas movi mian semon (konton) de silikvo al alia silikvo?

Is the term "seed" obligatory? Why do we call an account "seed", does something grow from it? It sounds a little ridiculous in my language...
-
We call an installation of Diaspora a pod. A pod contains many seeds, so it's an analogy. You can try to find a similar analogy in your language that fits better, you could leave the term untranslated or ditch it altogether and use stuff like server and account only. Choose whatever fits best in your culture.
However please take care to not break any conventions that might have build in the last three years in your translations, that might disappoint or confuse existing users. I'd encourage you to have at least a discussion about the topic with your local community.
-
We have a convention to not translate "pod", so pod is still a "pod", I think I will simply call the seed "konto" which means account. It sounds more natural.
-
And in Hebrew, the word for 'pod' can also be considered as 'backpack', and the word for 'seed' is the same as 'semen', and you really don't want this analogy. Seeing that no 'seed' string was translated yet, I will go with the simple 'account'.
